Which is the minimum amount for investing in securities?

 

There is no lower threshold for investing. The investment amount depends on the cost of purchased securities. Taking into account the existing commissions of brokers, exchanges, and intermediate banks, the recommended investment in one type of securities is KZT 200,000.00, or USD 500.00.

How to replenish my brokerage account?

You can replenish your brokerage account in Tenge, USD, Euro, or Roubles, depending on the currency of securities you plan to purchase. You can also convert currencies within a brokerage account.

We use the official non-cash currency exchange rate of the custodian bank.

How long does it take to convert currencies?

 

It takes 1.5 hours to convert currencies up to 10,000 USD (or equivalent in KZT and other currencies).
It takes 5-10 minutes to convert currencies above 10,000 USD (or equivalent in KZT and other currencies) at a fixed rate.

How to fix a currency exchange rate?

 

You can fix a currency exchange rate when converting currencies above 10,000 USD (or equivalent in KZT and other currencies) by prior agreement with the broker.

How long does it take to execute an order to buy/sell securities?

 

The client order is executed before the end of the current trading session after automatic verification for compliance with the requirements of the Contract, Legislation, and Internal Documents of the Broker. Clients’ orders compliant with all requirements are usually executed within 1 to 5 minutes. For a deal concluded on date T, when calculating transactions using the T+n method, the deal is actually executed on the n-th working day after the conclusion.

Which are the commissions on orders?

 

Commissions on transactions for purchase/sale of securities are accrued on completed transactions. Commission for purchase/sale on the local market – 0.03% of the volume, minimum 1000 tenge. Commission for purchase/sale on the international market – 0.155% of the volume, minimum 3500 tenge, plus foreign counterparty commission in the amount of 0.1% of the transaction volume, min. $10.

What is a limit order/market order?

 

A limit order is an order to purchase/sale the financial instruments submitted with price parameters;

A market order is an order to purchase/sale the financial instruments submitted without price parameters (at a market price);

What are the working hours of the stock exchange and the working hours of the broker?

 

Working hours of the Kazakhstan Stock Exchange: Mon-Fri, 11:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Nur-Sultan time.
NYSE, NASDAQ - local time: Mon-Fri, 9:30-16:00.
London Stock Exchange, LSE - local time: Mon-Fri, 08:00-16:30.
